UPDATE APRIL 1ST 2020

Ibiza Villas 2000 - Statement on COVID-19

On the 17th March, the FCO and most Governments across Europe advised their Nationals against all but essential international travel. This will be in effect for at least 30 days.

If your travel date is before 31 May, we will contact you to discuss options. We are prioritising those who are due to arrive in Ibiza in May. Our phone lines and emails are extremely busy and we ask you to be patient whilst we work tirelessly to assist you.

If you are due to arrive beyond 30 May please feel free to call us, and we will try to answer any questions and we will try to help.

Like you, we are very concerned about the ongoing Coronavirus situation. The circumstances surrounding the outbreak of Covid-19 are unique and constantly changing. We are therefore monitoring the situation and all developments very closely.

We have taken the decision to adopt a policy which reflects how the travel industry is responding, including major airlines and the overwhelming majority of private accommodation providers.

Events are unfolding rapidly in Spain and the rest of the world, with everyone affected in different ways. As well as you, our valued clients, we also check in regularly with the owners of our villas; our permanent and temporary staff in Spain and the UK; and the many people and small businesses in Ibiza which depend on Ibiza Villas 2000 for their livelihood. We also fully appreciate our clients come from many different countries, each issuing their own advisories and measures in response to the outbreak.

In light of this, we strive to offer as much flexibility as we can to you, but also to safeguard everyone’s well-being. Our team is working hard to offer the best solutions possible within the parameters of what’s viable for our company — and what is fair for our employees, our local suppliers and our villa owners, all of whom rely on us economically. We want to continue welcoming you to Ibiza for many years to come — and so do they.

This page has been added to our website to provide information on how we are acting in response to this unprecedented scenario. We also welcome you to contact our office with any queries.

What options do I have for my booking?

At this challenging time, we of course understand you are wondering whether you will be able to travel this year. The unfolding scenario puts us and millions of others around the world in uncharted territory (to say the least). We are doing all we can to remain up to date with our colleagues on the ground in Ibiza and across the rest of the travel industry.

The Ibiza Villas 2000 team is working with our clients and house owners to offer as much flexibility as we can.

If you haven’t yet contacted us to discuss your upcoming holiday, please get in touch as soon as possible. Contact us: +44 203 700 1364 + 34 666 934 060

PLEASE NOTE: Before confirming anything with us directly, please first check with your travel insurance provider to understand what effect, if any, a change of dates might have on the coverage of your insurance policy.

Travellers should read the Foreign & Commonwealth travel advice for Ibiza, Spain, which includes a link through to the National Health Network and Centre that offers specific travel advice for countries.

Below are some Questions you may have:

Q: I am due to travel in May and June but there my Governments Travel advice is only until middle of April?

In reality, May is not subject to any travel restrictions yet, airlines and your Government will not be offering any travel advice until earliest middle of April. Therefore, we have to assume travel will be permitted in May. However, we recognise that groups have to plan their trip and cannot wait until end of April to reschedule their holiday. We have therefore already contacted most groups who are arriving in May and we are trying to be a as flexible as possible either by moving their booking to another date in 2020 and in some cases to 2021. Please note: Moving to 2021 could be subject to extra costs. In all cases our staff will try and be as flexible as possible.

Q: My group are arriving in Ibiza after July 1st 2020.

The situation is moving so quickly July seems a lifetime away. We are currently assuming Ibiza will be open in July, but we are constantly monitoring the situation. Please assume your rental will be going ahead until further notice. We are currently working on our first arrivals in May, even though May is still not subject to any travel restrictions.

Q: What are my options if there are no restrictions on British nationals for overseas travel, but travel to Ibiza is restricted by travel advice to the island

If the FCO or your Government’s advice changes for Ibiza and your planned arrangements are impacted, please contact your travel insurers. Ibiza Villas will do its best to explore alternative options such as an amended travel date to later in 2020 or even 2021.

Q: What if I’ve booked other elements to my holiday?

If you have made your own arrangements, such as flights, car hire, airport parking, transfers or hotel stop overs, direct with a company other than Ibiza Villas 2000, then you need to speak to the service provider/ airlines that you made the booking with. They will have their own policy in regard to how they manage these claims. You should also contact your Travel Insurance

Q: If my holiday booking is cancelled, what will happen?

We will contact you to discuss options which may be an alternative date, a possible 2020 date change or moving your reservation to 2021.

Q: What if I decide I do not want to travel?

If holidays continue to operate, your rental will be subject to normal bookings conditions and cancellation charges will apply. If the FCO or your Government advice has changed for May and June our team will be contacting you.

Q: I have a trip booked but no insurance: Can I buy it now?

Please note that most major insurers, including ANY policy that you purchase through Ibiza Villas 2000, have suspended new policies offering travel disruption cover to COVID 19and related illnesses with immediate effect, from 14th March 2020.

Q: If I am unable to travel, am I entitled to compensation?

You won’t be entitled to any compensation, as the reason for your holiday not continuing, is outside the control of Ibiza Villa 2000.

It is a condition of renting a villa from us that all clients should purchase a travel insurance at the time of booking
