UPDATE 9th MAY 2021

Ibiza Villas 2000 COVID-19 Policy for 2020 & 2021

The circumstances surrounding the outbreak of Covid-19 are unique and constantly changing. We are therefore monitoring the situation and all developments very closely.

We have taken the decision to adopt a policy which reflects how the travel industry is responding, including major airlines and the overwhelming majority of private accommodation providers.

Coronavirus Statement:

Hi All

What an astonishing year! We must all have incredible stories and for sure we have all had a year like no other. From our side, it has been a huge journey, both for the business and personally. Who would have thought I would be writing another COVID related update again 1 year later.  Yet again, we are trying to plan the next few months ahead and yet again we are in the hands of our Governments and attempting to stare into the crystal ball.

The good news is, we do have the vaccine in Ibiza now and we are beginning to see real light at the end of the tunnel. Ibiza has very low Covid rates, the cumulative incidence in the last 14 days is 36 per 100000 and zero in Formentera. We are also making great progress with the vaccination programme. By the middle of June we should have caught up with or be close to UK levels of vaccination.

In light of this, we strive to offer as much flexibility as we can to you, also we MUST safeguard everyone’s well-being. Our team is working hard to offer the best solutions possible within the parameters of what’s viable for our company — and what is fair for our employees, our local suppliers and our villa owners, all of whom rely on us economically. We want to continue welcoming you to Ibiza for many years to come — and so do they.

This page has been added to our website to provide information on how we are acting in response to this unprecedented scenario. We also welcome you to contact our office with any queries.

How will this good news effect your holiday?

To answer this question, it really depends which country you live in. For instance, Holland has placed Ibiza on the Green list, travel is allowed without quarantine on your return home. The United Kingdom has placed Spain on an Amber list which requires 10 days quarantine on your return home. This will be reviewed on 7th June and 28th June. Sources tell us that Ibiza will be placed on the Green List either on 7th June or 28th June. However, we must wait until we hear official guidance.

Please refer to your Government websites to find the relevant rules which apply to your individual countries.

How will Ibiza Villas 2000 react to these new rules?

I am sure you are all aware these last 15 months have been extremely challenging for us, our main priority throughout the past year has been to act fairly and to protect our client’s holidays. Our solutions to these new travel restrictions are hopefully fair and will allow everybody to finally come and join us here in Ibiza.

1. If your group are arriving in May or up to 21st June, you can move your reservation to a similar price band later on in 2021 or 2022. If you cannot make your mind up now, that’s fine, we are happy to issue a credit note which will be valid for 365 days. If you move to 2022 or to a different price band there may be a difference in price which will need to be paid at the point of moving your reservation.

2. Clients arriving after 21st June must wait until the next update on June 7th.

3. If you are arriving after 21st June and your balance is due, we will require you to pay your balance when it falls due, if you want to secure the villa. If you decide you would prefer to wait to pay your balance, that is fine, but if we receive an enquiry from a group who want to book and pay for your villa, we will accept the booking and move you to another villa or another date of your choice. It is important to note. If this situation does occur, we will email you first advising you another group wishes to book and pay in full for the villa. We understand clients under Amber restrictions  are cautious about paying their balance, but at the same time, we have to know which groups are coming this summer and which groups are not. We cannot wait until the last moment for decisions. Especially when many tourists from “Green List” countries are asking to book villas that are reserved but the balance is overdue. We think this is a fair solution.

We firmly believe most countries in Europe including the UK will place Ibiza on their Green Lists by the end of June. The facts speak for themselves regarding our COVID levels and vaccination programme. However, we must wait for official notice from Governments.

Finally, we need to inform you all that all your reservations have been moved under the management of MRLP Rentals SL from LP Rentals Ltd. Nothing has changed apart from the company who is managing your reservation. The terms and conditions are also still similar apart from the COVID-related conditions which were updated in March 2020, April 2020 and May 2021, you would have received updates regarding these changes each time they happened (March 2020, April 2020, May 2021).

If you have any questions, please email bookings@ibizavillas2000.com. We will try and answer all your questions, but please understand some questions we receive are related to Government restrictions, which we wish we could answer, but like you, we have to wait until we hear official announcements.

We really look forward to meeting you all in Ibiza, I think you agree, we all deserve a fun filled holiday where we can finally put this terrible year behind us.

What options do I have for my booking?

At this challenging time, we understand you are wondering whether you will be able to travel in 2021 The unfolding scenario puts us and millions of others around the world in uncharted territory (to say the least). We are doing all we can to remain up to date with our colleagues on the ground in Ibiza and across the rest of the travel industry.

The Ibiza Villas 2000 team is working with our clients and house owners to offer as much flexibility as we can.
